ABHYAS · BANK, SSC AND PLACEMENT DATA INTERPRETATION
Abhyas Prep: Data Interpretation अभ्यास प्रेप: आंकड़ों का विश्लेषण
Bar, line, pie and table data interpretation with real charts drawn from the same numbers the answers are computed from.
Data interpretation
- Bar chart: percentage change between two yearsPercentage change = (later − earlier) ÷ earlier × 100. The base is always the earlier year (or the year named after “over” / “compared with”).
- Pie chart: amounts, ratios and central anglesA pie chart shows shares of a total. Amount = share% × total; central angle = share% × 3.6°; the ratio of two heads is the ratio of their percentages.
- Line graph: averages and the steepest riseFor an average, add the points and divide by how many there are. For the “greatest increase”, compare the jumps between consecutive points (absolute) or their ratios (percentage), as the question asks.
- Table: ratios and shares of a totalRead only the cells the question needs. For a share, divide the part by the total of the right row or column; for a ratio, cancel common factors early.
