CBSE CLASS 10 · PRACTICAL FILE IN MINUTES

Virtual practicals

Do each Class 10 practical step by step: read the meters or protractor yourself, fill the observation table, let it check your work, then download a neat practical-file page with result, precautions and viva questions.

Class 10 · Electricity

Ohm's law: V–I graph for a resistor

Virtual Class 10 practical: read the ammeter and voltmeter at six rheostat settings, fill the observation table, plot the V–I graph and find R from the slope. Download your practical-file page.

Class 10 · Light – Reflection and Refraction

Refraction through a rectangular glass slab

Virtual Class 10 practical: trace a ray through a glass slab, measure the angles of refraction and emergence and the lateral displacement, and check Snell’s law (n ≈ 1.5). Download your practical-file page.

Focal length of a concave mirror and a convex lens

Virtual Class 10 practical: focus a distant tree with a concave mirror or convex lens, then use the u–v method and the mirror/lens formula to find the focal length. Download your practical-file page.

Equivalent resistance of resistors in series and in parallel

Virtual Class 10 practical: measure two resistors alone, in series and in parallel with an ammeter and voltmeter, and verify Rs = R₁ + R₂ and 1/Rp = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂. Download your practical-file page.

1. Theory card

Aim, apparatus, theory and procedure in simple words, matched to the NCERT syllabus.

2. Your own readings

Each visit gives a new apparatus with realistic least counts and small errors.

3. Auto-check

Every reading you type is checked against the instrument, and the result is worked out.

4. File page + viva

Download a PDF (typed or handwriting style) and revise five viva questions.

Common questions

Can I copy the readings straight into my practical file?

The readings are realistic, but your school expects you to do the real experiment too. Use the virtual practical to understand the steps, practise reading meters and protractors, check your calculations and prepare for the viva.

Does every student get the same readings?

No. Each visit picks a new resistor, slab, mirror or lens within realistic limits, and adds the small errors real instruments have, so your table is your own.

What does the practical-file PDF contain?

Aim, apparatus, theory, procedure, your observation table, calculations (and the graph for Ohm’s law), result, precautions, sources of error and five viva questions with answers. You can choose a handwriting-style page on ruled paper.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Readings stay in the page and the PDF is made on your phone or computer.
