A little clarity about compatibility.
Browser support
The intended target is current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, Android Chrome and iOS Safari. This is a target matrix, not a completed certification. Cross-browser checks are still required.
File tools
The build uses browser workers, canvas, Web Crypto and local file selection. Some image export formats vary by browser; unsupported formats produce an explicit error. Screen recording requires getDisplayMedia and MediaRecorder and is primarily a desktop feature.
Documents
PDF page operations do not unlock password-protected files. Text overlays use a bundled Latin PDF font; Unicode document embedding is pending. Office conversions currently preserve extracted text or cached values rather than original layout. English printed-text OCR and QPDF encryption/repair adapters are integrated; full browser and preservation testing remains required.
Private AI
Qwen 0.6B and 1.7B packs are self-hosted and explicitly downloaded. WebGPU and shader-f16 support are required for generation. Specialist OCR, embeddings, matting, caption and voice packs run locally. No API key or cloud inference fallback exists. Output quality, grounding and device coverage remain launch gates.
Offline
Optional workbench and media offline packs are implemented. Model caches use separate local storage. Offline reload, interrupted installation and browser storage eviction still require full device testing before a compatibility certification.
