Startup valuation calculator

Estimate your pre-money valuation four ways (revenue multiple, Scorecard, Berkus and VC method), blend them and see the dilution for your raise.

Your startup

Sample numbers are filled in. Updates as you type; nothing leaves this device.

Annual revenue (or ARR) × a multiple for your sector. Best once you have steady revenue.

Faster growth moves you towards the high multiple (100%+ = top of the range).

How to use Startup valuation calculator

  1. Start with the sample numbers, or enter your revenue, sector and stage. Each method has its own tab: revenue multiple, Scorecard, Berkus and VC method.
  2. Tick the methods that fit your stage. Pre-revenue startups usually lean on Scorecard and Berkus; revenue-stage startups on multiples and the VC method.
  3. Read the blended range and the method chart, then enter your planned raise to see how much of the company you would sell.

Limitations

Educational estimate, not a valuation report. Sector multiples are illustrative ranges, not market data. Allotting shares generally needs a registered valuer’s or merchant banker’s report.

Questions, answered.

Is Startup valuation calculator free?

Yes. Startup valuation calculator is free to use with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.

How do I calculate my startup’s valuation in India?

Early-stage valuations are negotiated, not calculated exactly. Investors cross-check a few methods: a revenue multiple if you have revenue, the Scorecard or Berkus method before revenue, and the VC method that works back from a likely exit. This calculator runs all four and blends them into a range you can defend.

Which valuation method is best for a pre-revenue startup?

Scorecard and Berkus are designed for pre-revenue startups. Scorecard compares you with the average funded startup in your region; Berkus adds value for each risk you have reduced (idea, prototype, team, partnerships, first sales).

Is this a valuation report I can use to issue shares?

No. It is an educational estimate. When a private company allots shares, Indian rules generally require a valuation report from a registered valuer, and for foreign investors a fair-value certificate from a chartered accountant, SEBI-registered merchant banker or practising cost accountant. Ask your CS or CA which report your round needs.

Are the sector revenue multiples real market data?

No. They are illustrative ranges for Indian early-stage startups, meant for learning and for a first conversation. Real multiples move a lot with growth, margins, the funding climate and the investor. Edit them to match comparables you trust.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything you enter is processed in your browser and is not sent to a server.

Does it work on mobile phones?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux. Large files are faster on a computer.

What are the limitations?

Educational estimate, not a valuation report. Sector multiples are illustrative ranges, not market data. Allotting shares generally needs a registered valuer’s or merchant banker’s report.
