Vigyan Lab विज्ञान लैब
A science lab that fits in your pocket. Move lenses and watch rays bend, wire up circuits, build atoms and molecules, do your Class 10 practicals with a ready practical-file page, and use your own phone’s sensors to measure gravity, sound, magnetism and your pulse. For Class 6–10 students and their teachers.
Simulations अनुकरण
Drag, slide and predict. Every simulation shows the formula working, not just the answer.
Optics bench: lenses and mirrors
प्रकाशिकी बेंच: लेंस और दर्पणDrag the object and change the focal length of a convex or concave lens or mirror. The ray diagram, image position, size and nature and the lens/mirror formula update live.
Open the bench →Circuit builder
परिपथ निर्माताWire cells, resistors, bulbs, keys, fuses and meters on a grid. See the current flow, bulb brightness, power and heating, and what a short circuit does.
Build a circuit →Atom and molecule builder
परमाणु और अणु निर्माताAdd protons, neutrons and electrons to build the first 20 elements, ions and isotopes. Then combine atoms by valency into H₂O, CO₂, CH₄, NaCl and more, with Lewis dot diagrams.
Build an atom →3D human heart
3D मानव हृदयRotate, cut open and place a beating heart on your desk in AR.

Ohm's law: V–I graph for a resistor
ओम का नियम: प्रतिरोधक का V–I ग्राफ़Virtual Class 10 practical: read the ammeter and voltmeter at six rheostat settings, fill the observation table, plot the V–I graph and find R from the slope. Download your practical-file page.
Do the practical →Refraction through a rectangular glass slab
काँच के आयताकार स्लैब से अपवर्तनVirtual Class 10 practical: trace a ray through a glass slab, measure the angles of refraction and emergence and the lateral displacement, and check Snell’s law (n ≈ 1.5). Download your practical-file page.
Do the practical →Focal length of a concave mirror and a convex lens
अवतल दर्पण और उत्तल लेंस की फोकस दूरीVirtual Class 10 practical: focus a distant tree with a concave mirror or convex lens, then use the u–v method and the mirror/lens formula to find the focal length. Download your practical-file page.
Do the practical →pH of samples using universal indicator
सार्वभौमिक सूचक से नमूनों का pHVirtual Class 10 practical: add universal indicator to lemon juice, vinegar, water, baking soda, soap solution and more, match the colour to find the pH and classify each sample. Download your practical-file page.
Do the practical →Equivalent resistance of resistors in series and in parallel
श्रेणी और समांतर क्रम में प्रतिरोधकों का तुल्य प्रतिरोधVirtual Class 10 practical: measure two resistors alone, in series and in parallel with an ammeter and voltmeter, and verify Rs = R₁ + R₂ and 1/Rp = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂. Download your practical-file page.

Real measurements with the sensors already inside your phone. No kit to buy. Your data never leaves the phone.
Measure g with a pendulum
लोलक से g मापेंHang your phone as a pendulum bob. It counts the swings itself, works out the time period and calculates g = 4π²L/T² with the percentage error.
Uses: Motion sensor (gyroscope / accelerometer)Measure gravity →Sound meter and pitch finder
ध्वनि मीटर और तारत्वSee loudness and the main frequency of any sound live, with its musical note. Take the “hum a note” challenge and compare a tuning fork, bottle or flute.
Uses: MicrophoneListen in →Compass and magnetic field
कम्पास और चुंबकीय क्षेत्रUse your phone's magnetometer as a compass and field meter. Earth's field is about 25–65 μT; bring a magnet close and watch it jump.
Uses: Magnetometer / compassFind north →Pulse rate from your camera
कैमरे से नाड़ी दरPlace a fingertip over the rear camera. Tiny changes in light show each heartbeat, and the app counts beats per minute. A learning demo, not a medical device.
Uses: Camera and flashCount beats →Predict → test → explain
Guess the result first, then see the truth and the one-line “why”. It is the way simulations actually help you remember.
Practical file in minutes
Download a neat practical-file page with aim, apparatus, your readings, result, precautions and viva questions.
For teachers
One phone and a projector are enough. Large controls, keyboard support and dark mode work well on a classroom screen.
Private by design
Camera, microphone and motion data are processed on your device and kept only in memory. Nothing is uploaded.
Common questions
Is Vigyan Lab free?
Yes. Every simulation and phone experiment is free, needs no sign-up and has no app to install. It works in Chrome or Safari on most phones.
Do my camera and microphone readings get uploaded?
No. Sensor, microphone and camera data are processed on your phone and kept only in the page’s memory. Nothing is recorded or sent to a server, and closing the page clears it.
Can I use it for my school practical file?
Yes. Each experiment has a “Download practical-file page” button that makes a PDF with the aim, apparatus, theory, your observation table, result, precautions and viva questions.
Which classes and boards does it cover?
Experiments follow the NCERT science syllabus used by CBSE and most state boards for Class 6–10. The optics bench covers Class 10 Light, the circuit builder Class 10 Electricity, the atom builder Class 9 Structure of the Atom and Class 10 Carbon Compounds, and the virtual practicals the CBSE Class 10 practical list. The pocket lab covers Class 9 Gravitation and Sound and Class 10 Magnetic Effects and Life Processes.
My phone says the sensor is not supported. What now?
Every experiment has a simulated demo that uses the same maths, so you can still learn and practise. Sensor support varies: Android Chrome supports the most; iPhones ask for motion permission when you tap start.
