This role needs someone who can learn a new codebase quickly, write careful code and work in a team. In my internship I was put on a Java project I had never seen and shipped my first fix in the second week. My final-year project passed every test case in the review because I write tests as I go. And as class representative I learnt to keep a group of sixty people informed and on time. I would bring that same quick learning and reliability to your team.
You need someone who is comfortable talking to customers and keeping accurate records. I spent two summers handling customer queries at a mobile store, where I kept the complaint register that our manager used for weekly reviews. I’m patient with people and careful with details, and I can start contributing from day one.
