Blood Relations (Coded)कूटबद्ध रक्त संबंध questions and answersप्रश्न और उत्तर

Coded blood relation questions replace words like “father of” with symbols such as +, × or @, then give a short expression like P + Q × R ÷ S. Once each symbol is decoded, the question becomes an ordinary family-tree problem.

How blood relations (coded) worksकूटबद्ध रक्त संबंध को समझिए

Split the expression into links of two people and decode one link at a time: “P + Q” becomes “P is the father of Q”. Draw each link immediately, a vertical line between generations and a horizontal line between a couple, instead of holding the whole chain in your head.

Many links collapse. If Q is the brother of R and R is the daughter of S, then Q is also a child of S. If A is the wife of B and B is the father of C, then A is C’s mother. Collapsing as you go keeps the tree small.

Check the asked person’s gender before choosing an answer. A gendered word about that person (“A is the sister of B”) fixes it, and so does being married to someone whose gender is known. If neither happens, words like “uncle” or “aunt” cannot be confirmed and “cannot be determined” is the right choice when it is offered.

Gender check before you answer

Use it when:कब इस्तेमाल करें: The options include “cannot be determined”, or the asked person is the last letter of the expression.

  1. Find every code in which the asked person stands on the LEFT: each gives their gender.
  2. If there is none, check whether they are married to someone whose gender is known (a husband/wife code, or the other parent of a child).
  3. Still nothing? Every gendered option is out: the answer is “cannot be determined”.
Exampleउदाहरण

P is the son of Q, Q is the sister of R, R is the daughter of S. How is S related to P?

→ S never stands on the left and has no known spouse: grandparent, but grandfather or grandmother cannot be determined.

Why it works, and when it failsयह क्यों काम करती है, और कब नहीं

Why:क्यों: In “A ⊕ B means A is the … of B”, the relation word describes A, so it fixes A’s gender and says nothing about B’s. The only other source of gender is a spouse, because the couple must be one man and one woman.

Limits:सीमाएँ: Neutral answers (for example “cousin”) do not need a gender, and some papers do not offer “cannot be determined”; then pick the option that holds for both genders, if any.

Common mistakesआम गलतियाँ

  • Reading the relation backwards, giving how S is related to P when the question asks how P is related to S.
  • Assuming a gender from the person’s letter or position in the expression.
  • Skipping a generation when two parent links follow each other.

Frequently asked questionsअक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न

When is the answer “cannot be determined”?

When the relationship type is fixed but the asked person’s gender is not: they never appear on the left of a gendered code and are not married to someone of known gender.

What does “P + Q × R” mean if + is father and × is sister?

P is the father of Q, and Q is the sister of R, so P is also R’s father.

How is this different from ordinary blood relation questions?

Only the decoding step is new. After you replace symbols with words, the family-tree method is the same.
