How direction sense worksदिशा ज्ञान को समझिए

Keep two running totals: east–west and north–south. Each move adds to one of them.

The final direction comes from the signs of the totals (for example, north-east if both are positive in those directions).

The shortest distance from the start is √(x² + y²). Common triples like 3-4-5 and 6-8-10 appear often.

Five triples that solve most direction questions

Use it when:कब इस्तेमाल करें: The final distance in a direction-sense question, or a right-triangle side.

Memorise 3-4-5, 5-12-13, 8-15-17, 7-24-25 and 20-21-29, plus their multiples (6-8-10, 9-12-15).
