Spelling questions show four versions of one word and ask for the correct one. The wrong versions are never random: they are the slips people really make, so learning those slips is faster than memorising whole words.

How spelling: spot the correct word worksवर्तनी: सही शब्द पहचानिए को समझिए
Most errors are about double letters: dropping one (acommodate), or doubling a single one (sepparate). Learn the double letters of each hard word as a short list: accommodate has cc and mm, committee has mm, tt and ee.
The ie/ei rule covers many words: i before e (achieve) except after c (receive). Exceptions exist, so use it as a first check, not a law.
Endings are the third trap: -ance or -ence (maintenance, existence, perseverance), -ary or -ery (necessary, cemetery). These come from the word’s history, so learn them word by word.
Compare the four options only where they differ. Three of them will agree on most letters; the differences are where the test is.

Look only where the options differ
Use it when:कब इस्तेमाल करें: Spot-the-correct-spelling questions.
Line the four options up: they agree on most letters.
Find the one or two places where they differ (a double letter, ie/ei, an ending).
Decide only those places: the majority version at each place is usually right, because each wrong option changes just one thing.

Why:क्यों: Each wrong option is the correct word with one slip, each at a different spot. So at each spot where the options differ, only one option is wrong there and the other three agree: the majority at every spot spells the word.
Limits:सीमाएँ: It needs the options to be single slips of one word, which is how most papers set them, but not all.

British or American spelling?
Indian exams follow British spelling (colour, organise). The words here are spelt the same in both.
Is there a rule for -ance and -ence?
Not a reliable one for exams. Learn the common words: maintenance, perseverance and assistance take -ance; existence, conscience and occurrence take -ence.
Why do the wrong options look so close?
Because each is made by one real slip. That is how exam setters make them too.
