Bengali save the date video
Biye dates follow the panjika, often in Magh or Phalgun, and relatives want to know which one. This save the date says শুভ বিবাহ in Bengali, frames your names in a red alpana on white with the pair of fish for luck, then gives the date in large red numerals with the days left. Add the Bengali month in the venue line.
How to make a bengali save the date (lal paar)

- Sindoor & shankh सिंदूर और शंख — Deep sindoor red with a white alpana mandala turning slowly and the groom’s shola topor.
- Polaroid memories पोलरॉइड यादें — Every photo becomes a Polaroid with a handwritten caption; kraft-paper title cards.
Common questions
Can I add the Bengali calendar month?
Yes. Write it in the city line, for example “Kolkata · 15 Magh 1433”; the large date stays in the Gregorian calendar.
Can I write the names in Bengali?
Yes. Type them in Bengali script — the video uses a Bengali font automatically and long names wrap neatly.
When should I send a save the date?
Most couples send it two to four months before the wedding, and the full invitation about a month before.
Is this save the date video maker really free?
Yes. There is no watermark on the video, no login and no paid export. A small “Made with IndiaDigital.org” end slide is on by default and you can switch it off.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your phone or computer. Your photos, names and numbers are never uploaded, and the video is made right in your browser.
Can I share it on WhatsApp Status, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Pick 9:16 for Status, Reels and Shorts, 1:1 for feeds or 16:9 for YouTube and TV. On a phone, tap Share to send it straight to WhatsApp.
Can I change the music, colours or text after making it?
Yes. Switch the music mood, colour style or language and the preview updates instantly. For full control tap “Edit more” to open the same video in the free IndiaDigital video editor.
