Varshphal is a traditional way of reading one year. It shows tendencies, not certainties, and it is not advice for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
How to read your varshphal
- Enter your birth date, time and place (or use a profile saved on this device from My Kundli).
- Pick the year: the varshphal runs from your birthday in that year to the next one.
- See the varsha pravesh time, varsha lagna, Muntha, the year lord and the Mudda dasha periods.
- Read the plain-words forecast for career, money, family, health and relationships, then download the free PDF.
In the Tajik system, each year of life has its own chart. The birth kundli shows the whole life; the varshphal zooms in on one year. Astrologers usually read the two together: the running Vimshottari dasha sets the larger theme, and the varshphal shows how this particular year carries it.
Our forecast uses fixed, explainable rules: planets in each life area’s houses, where those houses’ lords sit, their strength, Jupiter’s aspect and the Muntha. Every card shows why we say what we say, so you or your astrologer can check it.
Varshphal: common questions
What is varshphal?
Varshphal (also called the Tajik annual chart or varsha kundli) is a chart cast for the moment the Sun comes back to its exact birth longitude each year. It is read for that one year, from birthday to birthday, alongside your birth kundli.
How is the varsha pravesh time found?
We search for the instant the Sun’s sidereal (Lahiri) longitude equals its value at your birth, to within one arcsecond. Because the sidereal year is about 365.26 days, the time moves by roughly 6 hours each year and can fall a day before or after your calendar birthday.
What is Muntha?
Muntha is a sensitive point that starts at your birth lagna and moves one sign every year. The house it falls in from the varsha lagna gets attention that year; the 9th, 10th and 11th houses are traditionally the most helpful.
How is the year lord (varshesh) chosen?
Five planets hold office (pancha adhikari): the birth lagna lord, the varsha lagna lord, the Muntha lord, the tri-rashi lord and the day or night lord. The strongest of them by panchavargiya bala (five-fold strength) that has a Tajik aspect on the varsha lagna becomes the year lord.
What is Mudda dasha?
Mudda dasha is the Vimshottari dasha squeezed into one year: the nine planet periods share the year in the same proportions as their 120-year dashas, so Venus gets about 61 days and the Sun about 18. The first period follows from your birth nakshatra and your age.
Is my birth data sent anywhere?
No. The varshphal and the PDF are worked out in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, saved on a server or put in the link.
