- Students of Bihar from the Backward Class (BC) or Extremely Backward Class (EBC).
- Studying a post-matric course in a recognised institution.
- Family income within the limit set by the state (shown on the portal); income and caste certificates must be issued at RO level.
- Not taking any other scholarship for the same course and year.
