WhatsApp invitation messages for every Indian occasion
Most invitations in India now arrive on WhatsApp, and that is perfectly respectful, as long as the message feels personal and not like a forward. Below is a short guide to inviting people politely on WhatsApp, followed by ready messages for each occasion in English and Hindi. Change the names, add a line of your own, paste your invite link at the end, and send.

How to invite on WhatsApp without seeming casual
Send each family its own message rather than one broadcast to everyone. A line that uses their name, тАЬSharma uncle, auntyтАЭ or тАЬDear PriyaтАЭ, instantly tells them they were thought of. If you use an invite website, a personalised guest link that opens with тАЬDear Sharma familyтАЭ does the same job on the page itself.
Timing matters. For a wedding, three to four weeks before the first function is right, earlier if guests must travel or book leave. For birthdays, griha pravesh, mundan or a puja, ten to fourteen days is enough. A prayer meeting notice goes out as soon as the date is fixed, usually two or three days before.
Keep the message short and put the link last. Two or three warm sentences, the name of the occasion, and then the link with the dates, maps and RSVP. Long paragraphs pasted above a link tend to be skipped.
Call the elders first. Grandparents, your parentsтАЩ elder siblings and anyone who would expect a personal invitation should hear it in your voice. Follow the call with the link so their children can help them with the details. Many families also still hand a printed card to the closest relatives, often with a QR code that opens the same invite page.
Send one gentle reminder, not five. A short message two or three days before the event, and perhaps a morning-of note with the map, is plenty. After the event, a thank-you message with a photo means a great deal to people who came, and to those who could not.

After a prayer meeting, EnglishThe family is grateful to everyone who joined the prayer meeting and shared our grief in person, by phone and through messages. Your support has given us strength in this difficult time.
Not for most guests today, provided the message is personal and addressed to them by name. For elders and very close family, call first and then send the link, or give them a printed card along with it.
Should I send a broadcast list or individual messages?
Individual messages feel far more personal. If your list is long, a personalised invite link that greets each family by name lets you keep the message short while still making it feel individual.
How many reminders are too many?
One reminder two or three days before, and optionally a short note with the map on the day, is plenty. More than that starts to feel like pressure.
Can I use emojis in an invitation?
A ЁЯЩП or ЁЯОЙ in a celebration message is warm and common. Leave them out entirely for prayer meetings and condolence messages.
Put these words on a free invite website with maps, countdown and optional RSVP. Guests need no app, and the page is deleted after your event. Make your invite.
