A year after a death, many families gather again for the barsi or first punyatithi, with a havan, a path or bhajans, sometimes a langar or a meal for the needy, and a family lunch. It is a smaller, quieter gathering than the first days of mourning, mostly for close relatives and old family friends who want to remember the person together and support the family once more.
This page lets you share that remembrance gently. Add a photograph and a few lines about the person, the havan and lunch timings with the venue map, and, if you wish, a few photos from their life as a short story. The page uses calm mode, soft colours, no music and no animation, and relatives can tell you whether they will come. You choose when the notice is deleted after the day.
