Onam is Kerala’s harvest festival, and Thiruvonam is its biggest day. Mornings begin with a pookalam at the doorstep, everyone dresses in kasavu, and around noon the family sits down to the sadya, rice and two dozen or more dishes served in a set order on a banana leaf, finishing with payasam. In the afternoon there may be Onam games like vadamvali (tug of war), and women often perform thiruvathira. Malayali associations, offices and housing complexes across India host their own sadyas through the season, often on a weekend near Thiruvonam.
This free invite page lets you write in Malayalam, the toggle then reads മലയാളം, and in English for friends from other states. List the pookalam, sadya and games with their own times, add a dress note for kasavu, and ask guests to reply with their headcount, which matters when every seat needs a leaf. Associations can print the QR code on a poster, and families can send personal links to relatives.
