The annaprashan marks the day a baby tastes solid food for the first time, usually around six months for a boy and a little earlier or later for a girl, depending on family custom. In Bengal it is the much-loved mukhe bhaat, with a maternal uncle feeding payesh from a silver spoon. In Kerala it is choroonu, often held at Guruvayur, and in many homes the baby is offered a tray of books, coins and a pen to see what they pick first.
This free invite page lists the ceremony and the meal clearly, shows the venue on a map, and lets you add a few photos of the baby. Relatives reply with a headcount, so the cook or caterer knows how many to plan for, and grandparents can switch the whole page to Hindi.
