Where this list comes from
- The directory is the "Blood Bank Directory" published by NIHFW (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) on data.gov.in under the Government Open Data License. The source last updated it on 12 July 2022.
- We keep the blood bank name, address, landline, helpline, category, hours, component and apheresis facilities and map position. Personal mobile numbers, emails and officer names are removed.
- Some numbers or addresses may have changed since 2022. Call first. For blood available right now, use e-RaktKosh, the government portal that shows live stock by blood group.
- "Near me" asks your phone for its location and sorts blood banks by straight-line distance on your device. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else.

No. This is a directory of blood banks. Live stock by blood group and component is on e-RaktKosh, the Ministry of Health portal. Use the green button on this page to open it.
How old is this list?
It is the directory as published on data.gov.in, last updated by the source in July 2022. Phone numbers and timings may have changed, so call before you travel.
What do "components" and "apheresis" mean?
A blood bank with components can separate blood into red cells, plasma and platelets. Apheresis means it can collect only platelets or plasma from a donor. Ask the treating doctor which one the patient needs.
Is my location stored when I tap "Near me"?
No. The browser gives the position only to this page, the distance is worked out on your phone, and nothing is saved or sent.
Who can I call in an emergency?
Call 112 for any emergency or 108 for an ambulance in most states. Ask the hospital treating the patient to arrange blood; they usually know the nearest bank with stock.
