How Mera IndiaDigital works
- Everything you add stays in this browser on this phone (local storage). There is no account and nothing is uploaded.
- It reads what you already saved on other IndiaDigital pages: kundli profiles, non-veg rules, saved schemes, your state and city. Change them there or here; both stay in sync.
- For documents we only keep a short name and a date, like "Passport, Papa" and the expiry date. Never type a document number; the page blocks anything that looks like one.
- Reminders always show on this page. If you also want a phone notification, turn on push reminders: then the server keeps only your browser’s push address and the reminder times with a generic label such as "Document renewal due".
- Use Backup to save everything as a file and Restore to move it to a new phone.
Questions people ask
Do I need to sign up?
No. Mera IndiaDigital works without a login. Your details stay in this browser. If you clear site data or change phone, use the Backup file to bring them back.
What do push reminders send to your server?
Only the push address your browser gives us, its two encryption keys, the page language and the times of your reminders, each with a fixed label such as "Bill payment due". Never your name, a document name, a number or a date of birth. Turn it off any time and the server forgets your device.
Why can I not type my passport number?
You do not need it for a reminder, and keeping ID numbers on any website is a risk. The name field only takes a short label like "Passport, Maa".
Is it free?
Yes. Everything on IndiaDigital is free. Push reminders use your browser’s own free notification service.
