Check PNR and live status the official way
We do not look up PNRs. These are the official places that do, with the exact steps. Your PNR stays with you.

What your PNR status means
A fully waitlisted e-ticket is cancelled automatically when the chart is made, and the money comes back to your account.
How it works
- Unofficial PNR sites and apps can sell your journey details. The Railways’ own channels are free.
- The official RailOne app (launched 1 July 2025) brings booking, PNR, live status and Rail Madad together.
Questions people ask
Why don’t you show PNR status here?
PNR status lives only in the Railways’ systems. Getting it would mean scraping IRCTC or using an unofficial API, which we will not do. The official ways below are free and quick.
What do CNF, RAC, WL, GNWL, RLWL, PQWL mean?
CNF is confirmed. RAC means you can board and share a side lower berth. WL is waitlist: GNWL (general, from the train’s start, clears most often), RLWL (remote location) and PQWL (pooled quota) clear less often. A fully waitlisted e-ticket is cancelled automatically when the chart is made.
When is the chart made?
The first chart is now made about 8 hours before departure (from July 2025), and the final chart about 30 minutes before. Check your PNR after the first chart.
