Questions people ask

Which laws replaced the IPC and CrPC?

From 1 July 2024 the Indian Penal Code was replaced by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Code of Criminal Procedure by the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and the Indian Evidence Act by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). Cases registered before that date continue under the old laws.
