How the dates are worked out
- Easter is the first Sunday after the ecclesiastical full moon on or after 21 March, worked out with the Gregorian computus (the method used by the Catholic and most Protestant churches in India).
- Lent, Holy Week, Ascension and Pentecost follow from Easter. Fixed feasts are on the same date every year.
- Orthodox and Oriental churches that keep the Julian Easter are shown in the Easter finder.

Why does Easter move every year?
It is tied to the first full moon of spring, so it falls between 22 March and 25 April.
