How it works

  • Kharif crops (paddy, pulses, oilseeds, cotton) use the Kharif Marketing Season 2026-27 rates, approved on 13 May 2026.
  • Rabi crops (wheat, gram, mustard and others) use the Rabi Marketing Season 2027-28 rates, approved on 30 September 2026. These apply to the rabi crop you sow this winter and sell from spring 2027.
  • Last season’s rate and the increase are shown for each crop.

Questions people ask

Will I surely get MSP in the mandi?

MSP is paid when a government agency buys your crop at a procurement centre. Private traders in the mandi may pay more or less. Register on your state’s procurement portal before the season to sell at MSP.

Who decides MSP?

The Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) recommends it, and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approves it before each season.

Is there MSP for vegetables like onion and tomato?

No. MSP covers 22 crops: cereals, pulses, oilseeds, cotton, jute and copra. Sugarcane has a fair and remunerative price (FRP) instead. For onion, tomato and potato, check the daily mandi prices.
