Check a company number (CIN)
Every registered company has a 21-character CIN. We read what it says; then confirm it on the MCA site.
Open the MCA site
Type mca.gov.in yourself, then MCA Services, Master Data, "Master Data Services". It may ask you to log in.
Search the CIN or name
Status must be "Active". Check the registered address and the date of incorporation.
Match it with the offer
The name, address and e-mail domain on the offer must match. A real company exists does not mean this message is from it.

Apply only here. Type the address yourself; do not use links from messages.

How it works
- The checker looks for patterns seen in job frauds: fees of any kind, Gmail or Yahoo addresses for a company, Telegram or WhatsApp-only hiring, like-and-earn tasks, OTP or PIN requests, pay far above the work, and hurry.
- For government jobs it compares every link with the official recruitment sites and .gov.in or .nic.in domains.
- A clean result only means none of these signs were found. Check the company on MCA and apply only on official sites.
- If you have paid or shared bank details, call 1930 at once.
Questions people ask
Do real companies ask for a registration or training fee?
No. The National Career Service says it charges no fee at any stage and jobseekers should not pay employers. India Post and government recruiters say the same; the only payment is a published exam fee on the official site.
What is a "task" job scam?
You are paid small amounts to like videos or rate hotels, then asked to "invest" in a prepaid task for a bigger return. The money is not returned. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre has warned about these.
How do I check a company?
On mca.gov.in (type it yourself), open MCA Services, then Master Data, then "Master Data Services", and search by CIN or name. It may ask you to log in first. Status must be Active, and the name and address must match the offer.
How do I know a government job notice is real?
Read it on the recruiting body’s own site (for example upsc.gov.in, ssc.gov.in or rrb.indianrailways.gov.in). PIB Fact Check also exposes fake notices. Nobody can get you a government job without the published exam or process.
I already paid. What now?
Call 1930 or report on cybercrime.gov.in at once, with the transaction ID, the UPI ID or account, and screenshots. Report the number on Sanchar Saathi (Chakshu).
