Court date diary: never miss a hearing
Write the next date after every hearing. We count down to it, remind you a week, a day and on the morning, and keep your lawyer’s number next to it.

How it works
- Each case is a short label you choose (like "Zameen case" or "Cheque bounce"), the court, and your lawyer’s name and phone. We do not save the CNR or case number; keep those on the eCourts app.
- After each hearing, set the next date. It goes into your Mera reminders and the old date moves to the case history.
- Status, orders and the cause list are on eCourts (website, app or SMS). We do not fetch them: eCourts has no open interface and uses captchas.
- Everything stays in this browser. Use Mera backup to move it to a new phone.
Questions people ask
What is a CNR number?
The Case Number Record is a 16-character number given to every case in the district courts, like MHAU019999992015. Type it without spaces on services.ecourts.gov.in or the eCourts Services app to see the status, next date and orders.
How do I read a cause list?
The cause list is the court’s list of cases for a day. On eCourts pick the state, district, court complex and court, then civil or criminal. Find your case by its number or party name; the serial number tells you roughly when it will be called.
Who gets a free lawyer?
Under section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act: every woman and child, SC and ST members, victims of trafficking, persons with a disability, victims of disasters or caste atrocities, industrial workers, people in custody, and anyone below the state’s income limit (₹5 lakh a year for Supreme Court cases). Call 15100.
What is a Lok Adalat?
A free settlement sitting. Pending and pre-litigation cases such as cheque bounce, bank recovery, accident claims and family disputes can be settled by agreement; the award is final and court fees are refunded. Ask your lawyer or the District Legal Services Authority to list your case.
