Is my bijli bill right?

Not in the list?
Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan and other states will be added once we have read their current tariff order from an official file. We do not guess rates.
How it works
- Rates come from each state electricity regulatory commission’s tariff order for homes (domestic, low tension). Each company shows its source and the date the order took effect.
- Energy charge is worked out slab by slab as the order says. Fixed charges follow the sanctioned load where the order sets them per kW.
- Fuel surcharge (FPPCA) changes month to month, so add the figure printed on your bill if you want an exact match.
- Where a state gives free units to all homes, the condition is shown and you can turn it on or off.
Questions people ask
My bill is higher than this. Why?
Usually the fuel surcharge, arrears, a higher sanctioned load, meter rent or a late fee. Check those lines on the bill. If the units themselves look wrong, ask for a meter check through the DISCOM’s complaint number or app.
How can I pay less?
Look at the “units to the next slab” tip: staying under a slab boundary saves the most. Star-rated ACs, fans and fridges and LED lights cut units the most.
