Mera · for parents
One scan, and papa’s phone is ready
Fill this in on your phone. It becomes a QR code; your parent scans it once and their phone greets them in their language with their own reminders and your number for emergencies.

Who is this phone for?
Emergency contacts on their card
Your name and number first. These go only on their phone’s emergency card.
Dates to remember (optional)
🔒 Like insurance renewal or an FD maturity. A short name and a date only.
How it works
- Everything you type goes into the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to any server, so it reaches only the phone that opens the link.
- On the parent’s phone the page shows what will be set up and waits for a tap on "Yes, set up". Every field is checked again, and the link is wiped from the address bar once it is read.
- No photos and no ID numbers: names are refused if they look like an Aadhaar, PAN or account number. Phone numbers are allowed only for the emergency card.
- If you send the link on WhatsApp instead of showing the QR code, treat it like a personal message: it carries the names, dates and numbers you typed.
Questions people ask
Does my parent need to install an app or log in?
No. They scan the QR code with the phone camera (or open the link), tap "Yes, set up", and Mera IndiaDigital opens in their language. They can add it to the home screen for one-tap use.
Can I change things later?
Make a new QR code with the changes. On their phone, new people and dates are added to what is already there; nothing they saved is deleted.
What does the pension option do?
It adds a yearly reminder for the life certificate: every November, or from 1 October once they are 80. It can be done free at the bank, a post office or with face authentication on Jeevan Pramaan.
Is anything sent to IndiaDigital?
No. The page and the link work on the two phones only. If your parent later turns on Mera notifications, only reminder times with a generic label are stored for sending them.
