How it works
- Each file is built on your phone from this page. Nothing is uploaded to make it.
- The emergency card file uses the card you filled on the Emergency page, saved on this phone. Fill that first for your family's details.
- The EMI calculator and unit converter use the same maths as the tools on IndiaDigital.
- On a phone, "Share" opens WhatsApp, Bluetooth and other apps. On a computer, "Download" saves the file.
- Every file has a link back to IndiaDigital, for when the internet is back.
Questions people ask
How does the other person open it?
They tap the file in WhatsApp or the Files app. It opens in the phone's browser. Some phones ask which app to use: pick Chrome or any browser.
Is my emergency card sent to IndiaDigital?
No. The file is made on your phone from what you typed. Share it only with people you trust, because it has your family's numbers and health details.
How big are the files?
Each is a few kilobytes up to about 20 KB, smaller than a photo.
Will the calculator ever go out of date?
The maths does not change. Helpline numbers in the emergency card are as on the day you made the file; make a new one now and then.
