Hold up the strip. Hear the cheaper generic.
We read the medicine name and strength from the strip and find the same salt and strength at Jan Aushadhi Kendras, with the price. Big text, read aloud.

How it works
- Take a clear photo of the back of the strip or the side of the box, where the composition ("each tablet contains") is printed.
- The text is read on your phone. We find the salt and strength, MRP, pack size and expiry month.
- The Jan Aushadhi match uses the same strict rule as the generic medicine finder: every salt and every strength must match.
- We never read out or show dose or timing lines. Take your medicine as your doctor prescribed; ask your doctor or pharmacist before switching to a generic.
- Everything happens on your phone: the photo, the text and the answer never leave it. We do not keep or see your paper.
Questions people ask
Will it tell me how many tablets to take?
No, never. Dose and timing come only from your doctor's prescription. We remove such lines from the strip text before showing or reading anything.
Is the Jan Aushadhi medicine the same?
When salt, strength and form match, it is the same medicine under the generic name. The release type (SR, ER) and salt form can differ, so we show a "check" note when they do. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before you switch.
It says the strip is expired. What should I do?
Do not use expired medicine. Return it to a pharmacy that takes back medicines, or ask the pharmacist how to throw it away safely.
