Rural job guarantee wage in your state

₹300 a day

All 125 days at this rate would come to ₹37,500 in a year for the household. That is the most the guarantee covers, not a promise of work.

Notified in S.O. 3518(E), in force from 1 July 2026. No state is below ₹300. Gazette notification (PDF)

Your rights in the rural job guarantee (VB-G RAM G)

  • Every rural household that asks can get up to 125 days of unskilled work a year (it was 100 under MGNREGA).
  • Ask for work in writing at the gram panchayat and take a dated receipt. If work is not given within 15 days, the state must pay an unemployment allowance.
  • Wages are paid straight into your bank or post office account, within two weeks of the muster roll closing. A delay earns you compensation for each day.
  • Your state may pause work for up to 60 days a year in peak sowing and harvest season. The 125 days are then given in the rest of the year.
  • Women and men get the same wage. The notified wage is the least you can be paid for a full day’s task.
  • Every work is checked by the gram sabha in a social audit. You can see the muster roll and ask questions there.
  • An e-KYC verified MGNREGA job card stays valid until the new Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card is issued. You do not need to pay anyone for the new card.

Check your job card and work done

  1. Open the rural employment portal of the Ministry of Rural Development and choose your state.
  2. Pick the financial year, district, block and gram panchayat.
  3. Open "Job card/Employment register" and find your name or job card number. Your card shows each work, days and wages.
  4. Days you worked but cannot see? Tell the gram rozgar sahayak and raise it in the gram sabha.

Wage payment status

  1. On the same portal, open your panchayat’s reports and look for the muster roll and the fund transfer order (FTO) for your work.
  2. If the FTO is signed but money has not come, the account may not be Aadhaar-seeded or the account number is wrong. Ask your bank or post office.
  3. Delay of more than two weeks after the muster roll closes: ask for delay compensation in writing at the block office.

What is your panchayat spending on? (eGramSwaraj)

  1. Open eGramSwaraj and choose "Planning" or "Reports".
  2. Pick your state, district, block and gram panchayat, and the year.
  3. The Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) lists approved works and money. Payments made show under accounting reports.
  4. Take questions to the gram sabha: it is your right to see the plan and accounts.

PM Kisan instalment status

  1. Open pmkisan.gov.in and choose "Know Your Status".
  2. Enter your registration number (or find it with "Know your registration number" using mobile or Aadhaar) and the OTP.
  3. Check three lines: e-KYC, land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding. All must say Yes for the instalment.
  4. A "No" in land seeding is fixed by the state agriculture or revenue office, not online.

Find a Common Service Centre (CSC)

  1. Open the official CSC locator and search by state, district and block, or by PIN.
  2. Before you go, ask the fee: many services (e-Shram, PM Kisan e-KYC) are free or have a small fixed charge. Ask for a receipt.

ULPIN (Bhu-Aadhaar): the 14-character land number

  • ULPIN (Unique Land Parcel Identification Number), also called Bhu-Aadhaar, is a 14-character number for one plot of land, made from the map coordinates of its corners.
  • It is given by your state under the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme of the Department of Land Resources. Many states print it on the record of rights.
  • It does not change your ownership. It makes one plot easy to find across records, banks and courts, and harder to sell twice.
  • No one needs to charge you for ULPIN. Find it on your state land record portal.

How it works

  • Wage rates are copied from the Gazette of India notification S.O. 3518(E) dated 30 June 2026, in force from 1 July 2026.
  • The rural job guarantee is now under the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 (VB-G RAM G), which replaced MGNREGA on 1 July 2026.
  • We do not fetch or scrape any government site. Every lookup opens the official portal, where you check your own record.
  • Your state choice is remembered only in this browser.

Questions people ask

Is MGNREGA closed?

MGNREGA was replaced by the VB-G RAM G Act from 1 July 2026. Work continues under the new Act with up to 125 days a year, and e-KYC verified MGNREGA job cards stay valid until the new Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Cards are issued.

I asked for work and got none. What now?

Keep the dated receipt of your written demand. If no work is given within 15 days, the state must pay an unemployment allowance. Raise it with the programme officer at the block, then in the gram sabha.

Why is the wage I got less than the notified rate?

Payment can depend on the measured task. Ask to see the measurement book and muster roll; raise it in the social audit if it looks wrong.

Where is my land record?

On your state’s land record portal (links below). Search by district, tehsil, village and khasra or khata number. For states not listed, the Department of Land Resources links every state portal.
