Take it step by step
- Find the PNR on your booking or ticket. Keep it private; you do not need to enter it on IndiaDigital.
- Open the official Indian Railways passenger enquiry linked here and enter the PNR there.
- Read the train, date, boarding point and class before interpreting the passenger status.
- Compare the booking status with the current status and charting information. These fields answer different questions.
- Check close to departure and use official railway rules for travel, cancellations and refunds. An old screenshot is not a live status check.
A situation to try.
A booking can show a waiting-list status at purchase and a different current status later. Read the current result and charting details, not only the original booking entry.

Before you call it done.
- Confirm the enquiry is for the right date and boarding point.
- Read each passenger row separately.
- Use the official legend for CNF, RAC and WL; do not treat a prediction as confirmation.
Know the limits.
The railway says status may change before final charts are prepared. IndiaDigital does not fetch PNR records, predict confirmation, book tickets or decide whether a particular ticket permits travel.
