Take it step by step
- Use a portrait with a clearly visible person and good contrast.
- Read the model download notice and choose the local pack explicitly.
- Process the image and check hair, hands, glasses and clothing edges.
- Export transparency in a supported format, or choose a solid background when required.
A situation to try.
A light shirt against a light wall is a difficult boundary. Check that the shirt remains intact rather than accepting the cutout solely because the background disappeared.
Use the tool’s synthetic example first where available. The example here explains a decision; it is not a reported benchmark result.
Before you call it done.
- Inspect edges at 200%.
- Check partly transparent areas.
- Reopen the export against both light and dark backgrounds.
Know the limits.
The portrait model is not a universal object segmenter. Complex groups, motion blur and fine hair can need manual retouching.
This tool’s current boundary: Review the output before using it. Your input remains on this device.
Evidence and scope
Technical source guidance and task-specific output checks. These do not establish that every file, browser or device passes.
Use the checks above on your own exported result. A source explains the format or mechanism; it is not proof that this export preserved every feature.
