PRACTICAL GUIDE

Verify that file processing stays on your device

Check network behavior during a synthetic job rather than accepting a privacy claim at face value.

Open File hashes ↗

Take it step by step

  1. Open browser developer tools and its Network panel before the task.
  2. Use a synthetic document containing a unique harmless marker.
  3. Record requests during file selection, processing and download. Inspect request bodies and destinations.
  4. Install the declared packs, disable the network and repeat the supported operation after reload.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE

A situation to try.

Use the marker LOCAL-TEST-2026 in a made-up text file. Model and engine downloads are expected when explicitly chosen; a request carrying that marker needs investigation.

Use the tool’s synthetic example first where available. The example here explains a decision; it is not a reported benchmark result.

Before you call it done.

  • Distinguish engine downloads from document transmission.
  • Inspect requests initiated by imported external resources.
  • Record tool version, browser, installed packs and failures.

Know the limits.

One network test is evidence for that operation and environment, not a certificate for every tool. Peer transfer intentionally transmits selected files.

This tool’s current boundary: Review the output before using it. Your input remains on this device.

Evidence and scope

Technical source guidance and task-specific output checks. These do not establish that every file, browser or device passes.

Use the checks above on your own exported result. A source explains the format or mechanism; it is not proof that this export preserved every feature.
