What the numbers mean.
Directory discovery is designed to help people explore products. Inclusion is not an endorsement, investment recommendation or government recognition.
Built in India
This optional label is the founder’s declaration that the product is built in India. It is separate from our listing review and is not independent verification.
Website clicks and achievements
A website click is a recorded selection of Visit website on a published listing. It is not a customer, conversion or verified unique person. Repeat activity for the same browser, startup and action counts at most once per India calendar day. Browser resets and different devices can still count separately. Rate limits reduce automated activity but cannot eliminate manipulation.
Milestones are 100, 500 and 1,000 filtered website clicks. We display the highest reached milestone. These labels are computed from current counts; they are not permanent historical awards. Rankings can exclude activity under review. No achievement is purchased.
Discovery windows
Fresh launches sorts by publication date. Weekly discovery uses a rolling seven India-date window; each day’s website clicks receive a weight of 0.8 raised to the number of days since that day. A Trending badge needs at least 10 clicks across two active days, and no ranking exclusion. Monthly discovery sums clicks from the first day of the current month in Asia/Kolkata. Ties use most recent publication. Counts refresh approximately every minute; results are activity signals, not quality rankings.
Editor’s picks have a visible owner-written reason. When activity is insufficient, we show fresh launches without inventing winners. We do not award Hot today or historical monthly trophies yet.
Privacy and storage
Directory measurement uses a random first-party cookie expiring at the next India midnight (within 24 hours). Daily keyed hashes suppress repeats; raw IP addresses are not stored in the application database. IP addresses are used transiently by the rate limiter. Deduplication records are retained for up to roughly three days and daily aggregates for 180 days; compact lifetime totals remain. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Disable directory measurement in the directory controls; that choice remains in your browser.
Document, image and other private tool inputs are not included in directory events. Counts may be incomplete when measurement is disabled, blocked or unavailable. Network providers still process connection information to deliver requests.
Demos, socials and sharing
Demo and social URLs are submitted by founders and reviewed with their listings. Players load only when requested and connect to the external provider. Privacy settings, removed posts and blockers can prevent playback; an external viewing link remains. IndiaDigital does not host the videos or fetch social follower counts.
Launch images are made locally and contain the public profile address. Images are not clickable: include that address when sharing. Sharing opens your device’s share sheet or copies a link; IndiaDigital does not post to your accounts.
