English Grammar (Class 3–10) अंग्रेज़ी व्याकरण
Unlimited English grammar practice with hints and rule-by-rule explanations: articles, tenses, subject–verb agreement, prepositions, pronouns, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, conjunctions, modals, punctuation, synonyms and antonyms, spelling, sentence correction, degrees of comparison, question tags and one-word substitution.
Verbs
- TensesTime words decide the tense: "every day" → simple present, "now/Look!" → present continuous, "yesterday/ago" → simple past, "since/for" → present perfect (continuous), "by the time … had" → past perfect.
- Subject–verb agreementA singular subject takes a singular verb (is, has, goes) and a plural subject takes a plural verb (are, have, go). Find the real subject first.
- Modal verbsModals add meaning to the main verb: can/could (ability), may (permission), must (strong deduction or duty), should (advice), need not (no necessity), used to (past habit), ought to (duty). Some must be followed by "to" (ought to, used to) and some by "have + V3" for the past.
Vocabulary
- Synonyms and antonymsA synonym has the same (or nearly the same) meaning; an antonym has the opposite meaning. Read the question carefully to see which one is asked for.
- Spelling: choose the correct wordMany common words are often misspelt. Learn the tricky part of each word (double letters, silent letters, i before e) with a memory trick.
- One-word substitutionReplace a whole phrase with one exact word: "a person who writes poems" → poet. Word parts help: -cide (killing), phobia (fear), bi- (two), poly- (many), in-/il- (not).
