The read tools work without any AI. If your phone or computer is strong enough, you can add helpers that run on the device itself. Nothing you read is sent anywhere.

AI helper (explain a paragraph)
It can
- Rewrite one paragraph of a notice or policy in simple Hindi or English
- Explain one difficult word
It never
- The AI helper never talks about medicine doses. Follow your doctor's prescription and ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- The AI helper does not say who is right or what a court will decide. For that, talk to a lawyer; free legal aid: 15100.
- The AI helper never works out tax, interest or penalty. Amounts come only from your paper and the official portal.
- Any answer that adds or changes a number, date or amount is thrown away before you see it.

Translation on this device
This device has less than 4 GB of memory, so translation is not offered here. The read tools still explain papers in Hindi and English.
How it works
- Each helper shows its size before downloading. Use Wi-Fi: they are hundreds of MB.
- The AI helper needs WebGPU (recent Chrome or Edge on a computer or a good phone). Without it, the button does not appear.
- Hard limits in code: no medicine doses, no legal verdicts, no tax or penalty amounts, and no answers for a person in crisis (they get the Tele-MANAS helpline, 14416). An answer that adds or changes a number is thrown away.
- Every AI answer is labelled "AI suggestion, may be wrong". The rule-based answer stays the one to rely on.
- Delete a helper here at any time to free the space.
Questions people ask
Which model is used, and under what licence?
The AI helper uses Qwen3 0.6B (Apache 2.0, about 350 MB). The natural voice is Kokoro 82M (Apache 2.0). Translation uses AI4Bharat IndicTrans2 distilled (MIT). Licences were checked before choosing them.
Does it work offline?
Yes, after the one-time download. The files stay in your browser's storage until you delete them here or clear site data.
Why not use a cloud AI?
Your notices, bills and policies are personal. A model on the device keeps them on the device, and costs nothing to run.
