The History and Culture part of the UPSC Civil Services prelims and the MPSC Rajyaseva prelims, and the history questions in other state civil services and competitive exams. It covers the topics asked most often: the Harappan Civilisation, Buddhism and Jainism, British rule and 1857, the freedom struggle, reformers and newspapers, and art and culture. From the NCERT history books (Class 6, Class 8 Our Pasts III, and Class 12 Themes in Indian History), the NCERT Class 11 book An Introduction to Indian Art, and the official UNESCO World Heritage List for India.
